Median Household Income Rises In 2015 While Poverty Declines and The Budget Deficit Widens In August
- U.S. median household income rose in 2015 by 5.2%, the first gain since 2007 and the growth over the previous year’s figure represents the largest annual rise since this data began being reported in 1967 by the Census Bureau; poverty was also reported to have declined by 1.3%.
