Fixed Mortgage Rates in the U.S. Fall to New Record Lows

According to Freddie Mac’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey, the average 30-year and 15-year fixed mortgage rates set new record lows. Below is a look at the two fixed rates over the past five years as well as theĀ 5/1-year adjustable rate mortgage.

The average rates include an average fees and points paid that typically range from 0.5 to 1 point. The most recent rates included 0.7 points for the 30-year fixed and 15-year fixed and 0.5 points for the 5/1 ARM.
