  • The U.S. monthly jobs report was released today with nonfarm payrolls adding 255,000 seasonally adjusted jobs compared to expectations of only 185,000, carrying the S&P 500 to a new high. The Wall Street Journal
  • The unemployment rate for the month of July came in at 4.9% staying flat compared to June which is below the Fed’s considered natural or full employment rate. CNBC
  • The trade deficit increased for the third straight month in June to $43.1 billion as dollar strength is among one of the factors. CNBC
