Commodities tell a story during the week as metals ex. gold rallied substantially on global news.  Copper posted the largest gain in nearly four years rising 4.6% while aluminum, nickel, tin and zinc moved higher.  News of widespread compliance from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries output cut led oil to a 1.6% advance on Friday alone.

Domestic equity markets reached peeks on a couple occasions during the week, both Thursday and Friday; all major indexes the S&P 500, NASDAQ Composite and the Dow Jones Industrial average each closed at record highs in addition to the Russell 2000 Small Cap Index joining the crowd on Friday for its first all time high in 2017.
